Legendary artist and writer Michael Golden will make his first appearance at Mammoth Comics on Thursday, October 22 (4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.).
Golden is best known for his late-1970s work on Marvel Comics' The Micronauts, as well as his co-creation of the characters Rogue (X-Men) and Bucky O'Hare (S.P.A.C.E). His work is known to have influenced the style of multitudes of artists, including Arthur Adams.
His other work includes The 'Nam (Marvel), covers for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (Marvel), ROM: Space Knight (Marvel), U.S. 1 (Marvel), and The Saga of Crystar (Marvel). Golden also penciled parts of the Marvel No-Prize Book . He has also drawn covers for Nightwing (DC Comic), Superman: The Man of Steel (DC Comic), and Vigilante (DC Comic).
"To be able to follow up Neal Adam's return to Mammoth with a talent the size of Michael Golden the very next day, we're really excited. It's fantastic for fans," said Mammoth Comics owner Shawn Mears.
